Nike withdrew an ad after being accused of homophobia SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Nike, the largest manufacturer of clothing and footwear in the world, has decided to withdraw advertisements that some critics of blogs on the internet they labeled homophobic.
The controversy arose last week as posters and advertisements for the new Hyperdunk basketball shoes from Nike, which showed the face of a player in the groin of an opponent by shooting over him.
